Here, there, everywhere with RACT Travelworld Aloha Hawaii! RACT Travelworld in conjunction with Viva Holidays, Thrifty Car Hire and the Waikiki Parc Hotel gave 7HOFM and ChiliFM breakfast hosts Johnno & Jane and Tim & Josh the opportunity to broadcast their breakfast shows live from Hawaii recently. Whilst broadcasting to their listeners, they were able to visit and participate in many of the famous tourist activities such as Pearl Harbour, Polynesian Cultural Centre and swimming with dolphin s. On their retur n, four lucky listeners won trips for two to Hawaii at the breakfast broadcasts held at RACT Hobart and Launceston car parks. You too could exper ience Hawaii with packages from $1789* p/p twin share including airfares, taxes, five nights accommodation at the Waikiki Parc hotel with breakfast, early check in and return airport transfers. Johnno says: A‘pleasant surprise’ is how I have been describing Hawaii to anyone who asks (and a lot have been asking!) To be honest my impression of Hawaii before I went there was kind of like the Gold Coast – great weather, but maybe past its heyday? I couldn’t have been more wrong! Everything was so clean, so new, and everyone so friendly. And perfect for families – I will definitely be going back with my wife and son. Can’t wait to meet up with some fr iends we made while over there! Jane says: M agical, amazing, warm, beautiful, friendly. Those are just some of the words I would use to describe Hawaii. My only exposure to this part of the world before our trip had been through T V shows (thanks Brady Bunch and Lost) but after being there I plan to go back. The Waikiki Parc Hotel was a perfect place to stay. Beautiful big rooms, gorgeous views to the beach and walking distance to ever ything you could possibly need. But there’s more to see than just Waikiki. Just a short jaunt around to the northern side of the island and you are confronted by some of the most breathtaking scenery I have ever seen (second only to Tassie). A wonderful place for lovers and families alike. If you want to relax, Hawaii gets the thumbs-up from me. Tim & Josh say: H awaii truly has something for ever yone. From families to single twenty somethings, to retirees and even babies, I’m sure there is something for them to do too! The islands are a treasure trove of sights and experiences. The beaches are just as beautiful as you’d imagine. The shopping makes you w ish you didn’t get r ipped off quite so much back home. The locals are amazingly friendly, no request is too much trouble. And we mean no request. We tested! There is so much to see and do. Grab a rental car and make sure you venture fur ther than just Waikiki. But really, the single biggest motivator for travelling to Hawaii should be the prices, ser iously, we didn’t want to come back to Australia. *Conditions apply – see your nearest R ACT Travelworld or Cruise Travel Centre for details Hawaii travel tips Hanauma Bay: Great snorkelling.
