Journeys : RACT MNJ June July 2010
Anzac Day overlooking the Kokoda jungle It's impossible to imagine what the Diggers experienced as they battled their way along the Kokoda Track during World War II -- but something we can do is return to the scene and honour their courage. That's why R ACT Travelworld and Getaway Trekking have arranged a visit to Kokoda to coincide with An zac Day 2011. You'll experience a memorable Daw n Ser vice at the magnificent Isurava Memorial on Anzac Day, and join your fellow trekkers in gratitude for the achievements of our soldiers. Outdoor Vietnam Vietnam is a country of captivating natural beauty and tranquil village life, with something for every type of traveller. It has highlands and rainforest regions, beaches, cuisine, exotic wildlife and the warmest of people offering you their hospitality. Getaway offers trekking, cycling and kayaking experiences to get you into the outdoors of this gracious country, beyond the main tourism areas, without sacrificing the outstanding sights and experiences available. You'll also enjoy a cooking course and immerse yourself in the culture by meeting locals and lear ning about their life. And there's plenty of time to shop, have a suit made, and sample one of the most delicious cuisines in South East Asia.
