The most economical cars to own and run are Hyundai! The Royal Automobile Club of Tasmania (RACT) recently completed a study into the cost of running a car in Tasmania in 2008. The study tested 60 popular makes and models of vehicle, and included all the factors involved in its running costs: purchase price, depreciation, registration, repairs, tyres, insurance, as well as a six month average of fuel costs.
