B otanica World Discoveries is celebrating
15 years of hosting boutique garden-
themed cruises and tours by expanding
its offering to include a greater selection
of complementary experiences including
histor y, art, music and gourmet food.
The newly-released 2015/16 brochure
contains more than 30 international and
domestic land tours, r iver and sea cruises,
that take small-sized groups of like-minded
travellers ‘ beyond the garden gate’ into
some of the most beautiful private and
public gardens around the world.
To enhance their guests’ experiences and
to complement the botanically-themed
journeys, many of the tours now offer
additional cultural experiences which
are further enriched by a range of talks,
demonstrations and guided tours by
engaging guides and lecturers who
generously share their knowledge and
expertise on their particular field of interest.
The unique experiences on offer are often
only able to be achieved through Botanica,
as many of the private gardens visited will
open exclusively for Botanica guests, and
even when visiting more iconic public
gardens and tourist attractions, from
the Chelsea Flower Show in London to
Machu Picchu in Peru, Botanica guests are
frequently treated to ‘ behind the scenes’
experiences via their botanical or specialist
On mainland Europe, the Holland &
Belgium river cruise, including a visit to the
2016 Floralies Flower Show, which occurs
once every five years, is already gaining
interest. A combined cruise and tour that
includes the Italian Lakes, Slovenia and
the Croatian Islands is always popular,
whilst a new cruise this year crossing the
Aegean, Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas from
Istanbul to Naples via the Greek Islands
will be hard to resist, as will the once-in-a -
lifetime rail journey on the Trans-Siberian
Golden Eagle Train.
Other countries visited include France,
Ireland, Morocco, USA, Canada, Japan,
China, Singapore, Chile, Bra zil, Argentina
and New Zealand, as well as a range
of Australian tours in Victoria, New
South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania,
Queensland and Wester n Australia.
To celebrate 15 years of creating
exceptional travel experiences and lasting
memories for Botanica guests, Judy
Vanrenen, founder of Botanica World
Discoveries, has produced a superb coffee-
table book containing hundreds of original
and beautiful photos of plants, people and
places from all over the world. Travellers
on Botanica’s 2015 and 2016 cruises and
tours will receive a copy of this delightful
memoir as part of their booking.

released 2015/2016 Botanica Brochure.
